YOUTH POTTERY ON THE WHEEL - 143251

Discover the creative possibilities of the potter's wheel! Learn and improve your technical skills while creating functional and decorative pottery. Also learn a variety of fun surface decoration techniques to give your pots personality. Section 3 will be a hybrid wheel and hand-building class. All students will alternate between studying pottery on the wheel in the wheel studio and sculpture skills in the hand-building studio on a weekly basis. Students will have the opportunity to incorporate both techniques into their ceramic art.

Students ages 10-15 may use recycled clay for free or may purchase new clay. Students ages 16 to adult: please purchase clay at the Welcome Desk or Community Center business office. Cost is $25 per 25 lbs. Clay is messy; please dress appropriately and leave jewelry at home.
